Repairing and resurfacing fiberglass pools must be undertaken with extreme care, involving specialist knowledge, chemicals and equipment. It is a complex process and can be problematic if not done correctly.
Green Turtle has extensive experience resurfacing all types and sizes of fiberglass pools.
We recognize the importance of identifying and checking the water table before we even start to drain your pool. Fiberglass pools should never be drained without understanding the position and movement of your water table. Extensive damage can occur very quickly. If you have already damaged your pool doing this, not to worry........we can help you.
Whenever needed, we cover our fiberglass pools with canopies for 2 reasons:
It protects the pool from adverse weather. This allows us to work during most weather conditions which mean we have a better chance of getting to your job and completing your job on schedule.
It also provides shade for the workers. When workers are more comfortable, they do better work.
Finally, the materials we use are sophisticated in nature and are very susceptible to mature prematurely when temperatures are excessive. The shade lets us produce larger batches that minimize transition changes.
Once drained, and if needed, we then brace the walls to prevent any of the walls collapsing.
Each pool is prepared by hand. This is one of the most important steps as preparation is the key to the success of any surface finish.
We tape off and lay plastic on all tiles and deck areas to protect your property. All fittings are then fully masked.
Our finishes are then applied by our fully-trained professional applicators. These finishes are very hard to apply and need formal and practical training to 'get it right'.
Yes - We have a selection of materials and colors to choose from.
Once we've finished, we provide all Green Turtle Fiberglass customers with a detailed set of instructions on how to maintain your pool through good water chemistry. Water chemistry is key to the life of your surface, but we will help you see that it is not rocket science when done properly.
